DALLAS – The 55,000-sf shopping center owned by Half Price Books has landed its first retailer. Outdoor retailer REI will move its Dallas store, located at 4515 Interstate 635, to a be the anchor in a 34,000-sf space at the shopping center in 2015. The center is under construction.

The six-acre property, 5929 E. Northwest Hwy., is currently under construction. The only existing business there now is Starbucks, which signed a new ten-year lease this year. The shopping center will have an additional 13,000 sf available for lease for restaurants and retailers.

REI’s new store will have the same brands and categories that the larger store now stocks, including a full-service bike shop. REI will also be adding to its list of outdoor classes.

REI has a store in Plano and will open a new 22,050-sf store at Park Village in Southlake this fall.
