Training the workforce enrolls in Missouri City, Stafford
MISSOURI CITY, STAFFORD – Having access to the necessary training and obtaining skills to compete in today’s ever-changing job market is a priority for many. Recent demographic reports confirm that workforce certification is the future of Houston-area employment.
Plans are underway for Houston Community College Southwest campuses in Missouri City and Stafford.
The 60,000-sf Missouri City Center for Entrepreneurship, Technology & Health (CETH) has a budget of $21.5 million.
CETH will break ground in October and house economic development, small business management, accounting and technology programs. It will also provide a Healthcare Career Academy for medical and health related programs to be offered in a partnership with HCC’s Coleman College in the Texas Medical Center.
Early plans for the Stafford Workforce Building, which will cost $27 million, include a 108,000-sf structure housing manufacturing, drafting and fabrication, IT, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, welding, pipe-fitting, plumbing and electrical programs.
