KILLEEN – Area cities have reported about $5 million in issued permits for duplex and single-family home construction for the week of April 28.

Killeen issued nine duplex construction permits with estimated construction costs ranging from $156,000 to $160,000. Six of the nine duplexes will be located on Passion Flower Ln.

Copperas Cove also issued a permit for a duplex on Starlight Dr. costing about $135,000.

Killeen issued 19 single-family permits with an estimated total construction cost of $2.5 million. Ashford Homes will build seven homes on Uvero Alto Dr. and DR Horton will construct five homes in various subdivisions. The cost of the homes ranged from $85,000 to $188,000.

Harker Heights granted three permits for single-family residences to Cornerstone Contractors Inc. The homes ranged from $86,000 to $182,000, totaling about $433,000 in new construction in the city.

Nolanville also granted two new single-family home permits to Killeen-based A&G Homes. The homes cost $205,000 and $230,000.
