AMARILLO - BSA Health System has purchased Amarillo Diagnostic Clinic (ADC). Through the transaction, BSA now owns ADC practice assets, runs its business operations and employs the clinic’s 129 workers, 17 physicians and four nurse practitioners and physician assistants, a BSA news release said.

Dr. Bill Byrd, interim ADC administrator, said the alignment brings “a high degree of stability” for physicians and patients.

ADC physicians include specialists in internal medicine, women’s health, neurology, gastroenterology, pulmonary diseases, infectious diseases, rheumatology, endocrinology, sleep medicine and nuclear medicine.

The BSA system includes a flagship 445-bed hospital, Harrington Cancer Center, BSA Urgent Care, BSA Family Medical Clinic and other practices. The system is jointly owned by Ardent Health System and Baptist Community Services.
