HOUSTON – JGC America Inc. plans to hire about 400 people by the end of 2014 and about 1,000 within the next three years, according to Joni Wills, JGC America’s communications director.

JGC America Inc., a subsidiary of Japanese energy engineering giant JGC Corp., is located in Granite Briarpark Green in the Westchase District. The company leased nearly 52,000 sf in January 2014.

JGC is part of a joint venture for Chevron Phillips’ new ethane cracker facility in Baytown.
