WILMER, DALLAS COUNTY – Developers have broken ground on the 531-acre Southport Logistics Park, located at Fulghum Rd. and I-45. Port Logistics Realty is developing the speculative project, which is between Union Pacific Railroad Co.’s intermodal hub and a FedEx Ground shipping depot.
Work on the first two warehouse buildings in the development, with 1.5 million sf, is scheduled to begin later in 2014, with completion in second quarter 2015. More than 9 million sf of buildings are planned in the development.
