Rosenberg’s 650,000-SF ALDI underway

ROSENBERG – Ground has broken on the ALDI 650,000-sf distribution center and division headquarters in Rosenberg near Houston.

The center and offices are scheduled to open in early 2016. ALDI also said it will open its 17th Houston-area store the same day.

“Rising demand for ALDI is fueling our significant expansion, including the Houston area,” said Karla Waddleton, Rosenberg division vice president for ALDI.

“We are pleased to bring our distribution center and division headquarters to Rosenberg to serve our growing presence in Houston. We are committed to offering ALDI customers the highest quality products at the lowest possible prices and building a long lasting relationship with the community of Rosenberg,” Waddleton said.

ALDI expects to operate 30 stores in Houston by the end of 2015. ALDI said earlier this year it plans to open 650 new stores across the nation over the next five years.
