Live Oak to root Hilton Garden Inn-Conference Center

LIVE OAK, BEXAR COUNTY – San Antonio-based Phoenix Hospitality Group (PHG) will take the lead on bringing a 139-room Hilton Garden Inn and Conference Center to the City of Live Oak.

The hotel will be located at the intersection of I-35, Pat Booker Rd. and Loop 1604 East — near to the Forum Shopping Center.

Counting the Forum’s surrounding retail businesses, the new hotel construction and planned development at the now-demolished Live Oak Civic Center, this area will soon offer 1.5 million sf of shopping and restaurants, PHG officials said.

The Live Oak Conference Center will feature 14,000 sf of meeting, banquet and convention space, making it among the largest full service hotel and conference facility in north San Antonio.

The conference center alone will be able to accommodate up to 800 people, according to Ed McClure, PHG’s chief executive officer.

PHG expects to break ground this summer, and have worked with the City of Live Oak on the project since last year.
