ARLINGTON - High Point Church will hold its last service on Sunday and walk away from its 107-acre campus at 2500 Arbrook Blvd., rather than fight a foreclosure proceeding posted against the property.
The property, located at the northwest corner of I-20 and SH 360, includes 423,000 sf of building space. It was posted for foreclosure auction by the church’s lender, Evangelical Christian Credit Union. The credit union posted the property saying the church defaulted on a $31.5 million mortgage.
The church will also shutter its day care center, which is currently serving about 62 children, but will look to find another location for its 200-student High Point Preparatory Academy.
