DALLAS-FORT WORTH - DFW is landing three new Aloft-branded hotels in Richardson, Dallas Love Field and Arlington's entertainment district as part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc growth strategy to double its Texas portfolio in the next three years.

By 2018, Starwood plans to more than double its current seven-hotel portfolio Texas by adding nine new hotels.

Along with three new hotels announced in North Texas, Starwood also plans to open two more Aloft hotels in Houston as well as Austin. Starwood also plans to debut Aloft hotels in other cities, including Shenandoah and College Station.

Here is a look at the three new Aloft-branded hotels being added to the North Texas market:

  • Aloft Dallas Love Field: The dual-branded hotel — along with Element Dallas Love Field — will include a 133-room Aloft and 91-room Element with shared facilities, including a meeting space, swimming pool and fitness center.

    The hotel is part of West Love, a 37-acre mixed-use development, which will include apartments and more than 24,000 sf of retail space a mile from Dallas Love Field.
  • Aloft Richardson: The nine-story, 148-room hotel will sit within the $1.5 billion, 186-acre CityLine development in Richardson. The hotel will include 3,000 sf of meeting space and will help CityLine corporate tenants put up their visitors. The hotel is slated for completion in 2016.
  • Aloft Arlington Entertainment District: The 136-room Aloft hotel will sit in a new mixed-use development known as The Village at Ballpark Way, which will include medical offices and retail space. The hotel is slated for completion in 2017.
