VICTORIA – Construction on a 56.4-mile pipeline connecting the Blackhawk delivery point in the Eagle Ford Shale to the Port of Victoria is nearly complete. Oklahoma City-based Devon Energy Corp. is building the pipeline, which is expected to go into service July 1.

The 12-inch pipeline will be able to carry up to 100,000 barrels per day of crude oil and condensate produced in the South Texas energy play. The Port of Victoria gives Devon access to shallow-water barge-loading facilities.
