SUGAR LAND - A mixed-use development — dubbed University Commons — is planned on 14 acres at the intersection of Hwy. 59 and University Dr. The $45 million project will include 110,000 sf of retail space, 40,000 sf of office space, three restaurant pad sites and two pad sites for banks.
The development will be near the University of Houston’s Sugar Land campus and across the interstate from the recently constructed headquarters of Texas Instruments.
Vista Equities Group in collaboration with Vista Private Equity Group will construct the project. Construction will begin first quarter 2015. The approximate opening date will be mid-2016.
