San Antonio Southside’s master-planned Mission Del Lago sold

SAN ANTONIO – Mission Del Lago — a master-planned community that spans 800 acres in South San Antonio — has been purchased by Austin-based SouthStar Development Partners Inc.

Mission Del Lago features the 17-mile Medina River Trail, the Jim Mattox Park and the Mission Del Lago Golf Course and clubhouse. The Julian G. Gallardo Elementary School is located onsite.

The original plan for Mission Del Lago called for 2,300 single-family homes. To date, the community boasts 500 residences and 850 multifamily units.

Mission Del Lago is the only master-planned golf-course community on the South Side.
