BRACKETTVILLE, KINNEY COUNTY - North American Development Bank officials and OCI Solar Power LLC have signed a $40 million loan agreement that will finance the construction of the Alamo 4 Solar Park.

Construction has already begun and the solar park should go online in October 2014.

The project involves designing, building and operating a solar generating station of 39.6 megawatts of power. It will be built on two contiguous parcels of land totaling 633 acres.

The solar park will be connected via an existing transmission line to the Brackettville substation located next to the northwest corner of the site.

The amount of energy generated by this plant should be equivalent to 5,200 households. The solar power generated by the project will be purchased by San Antonio’s CPS Energy.
