Dallas Equinix $34M expansion in data services center

DALLAS – Equinix just completed the $34M, 230,000-sf DA6 data services center in the Dallas InfoMart.

The new facility gives Equinix, a data center services provider, five new centers within the building.

Phase I of the new data center will have 450 cabinets and future phases will accommodate 900 more. A portion of the cabinets were portrayed in a grand opening on June 11.

One interconnection option at DA6 will be ExpressRoute, which will provide private network connections to Microsoft’s Azure cloud services. Under a deal inked last year, Microsoft will use Equinix facilities around the world to link its cloud services to 16 markets.
