KILLEEN-TEMPLE-BELTON AREA - June sales tax allocations increased for all municipalities in the region except Salado, which experienced an 18.5 percent drop compared to June 2013.

Harker Heights experienced the largest increase with 26 percent, generating more than $100,000 more in June 2014 than June 2013.

Belton, Gatesville, Copperas Cove and Temple trailed behind Harker Heights’ percentage increase, posting 20.6 percent, 17.3 percent, 16 percent, and 13.1 percent respectively.

Killeen, which experienced several months with slight declines this year, garnered an additional $95,600 in sales tax revenue in June compared to June 2013.
