SEGUIN, GUADALUPE COUNTY - The old Municipal Power Plant will soon be humming with an electric atmosphere once again. The historic building that first supplied water and electric utility systems in the 1890’s has reopened its doors as The Power Plant Texas Grill.

Renovations to the property included a 3,650-sf new dining and restroom area, a 1,500-sf new kitchen area, renovations to the 4,250-sf existing building and a 5,600-sf new outdoor dining area. These renovations were estimated at $1.3 million according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

While the restaurant is now open to the public, The Power Plant Texas Grill will hold a grand opening July 4 weekend.
