New Caney sets the ‘table’ for Tavola’s 1,000 acres

NEW CANEY – Stemming from the Italian word meaning “table,” Friendswood Development’s newest community, Tavola, celebrated their impending opening with the community. The total tract of land is approximately 1,000 acres on the east side of Hwy. 59 and around 560 acres on the west side that has been set aside for future development.

Construction has already begun on a few of the homes near the entrance while crews continue to work on the entrance into the community that will include a fountain and pond. The projected price range of the homes is from the $190,000s to $300,000s.

Friendswood has partnered with the New Caney ISD for a new elementary school to be built and open in fall 2015 to accommodate continued growth in the area.
