DENISON - Woodlands Place, a short-term rehabilitation and extended care center, at Gateway Village is underway. Located near the intersection of US 75 and SH 691, the 60,000-sf facility will be split into two sections for extended and short stay patients.
The facility will have about 80 beds dedicated to extended stay care and 50 for short-term care patients. Also included in designs are plans for 50 private rooms with multiple dining rooms and other community rooms.
The cost of construction is estimated at $7 million, and is expected to take about 13 months to complete. The facility, if at full capacity, could create about 100 jobs for the local economy.
