Montgomery County Food Bank now 60,000 SF

CONROE – The new 60,000-sf Montgomery County Food Bank is six times larger than the previous facility. It can feed 70,000 people a month in the area. Previously, only 40,000 individuals a month could be fed.

Now the 75th largest food bank in the nation, the facility can store 42 million pounds of food, compared to the 220,000 pounds of food that the former facility could store.

The new facility also has the space for ten times the number of volunteers.

Besides the Montgomery County Food Bank, the Houston Food Bank is the only other food bank in the Greater Houston area.
