GARLAND – LaBodega Meat Inc. enhance its food offerings through a $10 million renovation to its facility after extending the lease for its headquarters and distribution center.

The Hispanic-centric grocer plans to add a food-grade bakery and commissary to the 96,000-sf distribution center at 2600 McCree Rd. in Logistics Pointe/Garland, which sits near I-635.

The meat company operates a number of El Rancho stores in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. It also distributes meat and food products to other Hispanic grocers.

The 1.3 million-sf distribution park has about 40 percent of its space devoted to freezer and cooler space. The property is 85.5 percent leased to tenants including, Brothers Produce and Calavo Growers.

LaBodega extended its lease in the Garland distribution park for 15 years.
