BRAZOS, LEON, MADISON, ROBERTSON COUNTIES - Hawkwood Energy LLC, an independent upstream oil and gas company, has acquired producing and non-producing assets. The combined transactions include approximately 1,800 barrels of oil per day of current production and more than 50,000 generally contiguous net undeveloped acres.

Hawkwood purchased Crimson Energy Partners III's assets located mostly in Brazos County and purchased certain Encana Oil and Gas Inc. assets located mostly in Robertson County.

These assets establish the company as a significant player in the emerging Eagle Ford and Woodbine plays in East Texas.
