BURLESON – H-E-B will spend $14 million in an expansion of its current 88,000-sf store into an H-E-B Plus! store.

The store, located at 165 NW John Jones Dr., will grow to 115,000 sf.

Merchandise sold will include electronics, toys, housewares, grilling and outdoor furniture, apparel, party supplies and plants in addition to groceries.

Burleson’s H-E-B Plus! will also have an expanded produce department, a healthy living department offering 600 new bulk items, a scratch bakery, beer and wine and a specialty shop stocked with small appliances, utensils and cookware.

This new store is the only H-E-B Plus! planned in Dallas-Fort Worth for the immediate future.

Construction for the store, which opened in 2010, began this month. It is projected to be completed by February 2015.
