SAN ANTONIO – The median price for an existing single-family home climbed 5 percent to a record high of $188,200 in June. In June 2013, the median price was $179,400, according to data from the San Antonio Board of Realtors (SABOR).

The number of homes sold increased 6 percent to 2,474, reversing a slide in May, when sales dropped 6 percent compared with the year earlier period.

Houses stayed on the market for 65 days in June, a better showing than June 2013, when homes stayed 74 days on the market before selling, SABOR said.

Year to date, 11,655 homes have been sold in San Antonio, a 3 percent increase over the same period in 2013, SABOR said.
