Nothing 2nd about Second Baptist’s 165,000-SF Katy campus
KATY – Second Baptist Church broke ground on its sixth campus earlier this year at FM 1463 and FM 1093. The new 165,000-sf campus is being built on 45 acres.
The campus will have about 1,100 parking spots and seat more than 3,000 people for weekend church services. The church is on track to complete the building between Easter weekend and the start of summer 2015.
Church officials plan to start with just one service at the new campus, but growth may dictate more worship times.
Once the Fort Bend campus is completed, the church will likely build a new campus in Cypress, which will then negate the need to meet in the Berry Center, where Cypress residents who attend the church currently meet.
