BROWNWOOD, BROWN COUNTY - United Supermarkets are set to break ground on a 42,648-sf supermarket and a 1,472-sf convenience store.
The stores are expected to bring 140-160 new jobs to Brownwood, with an estimated payroll of $1.35 million per year. They will sit on a ten-acre site, with the supermarket at 300 E. Commerce and the United Express to be located near the corner of Commerce and Riverside Park Dr.
Construction on the two stores will begin in August, with opening targeted for June 2015.
