COLLEGE STATION-BRYAN – The Atlas Hotel, a four-star, 177-room boutique hotel, is being developed in the Atlas master-planned community. The hotel will sit at the corner of Traditions Dr. and Health Science Center Pkwy., across from Lake Atlas.

Designed by FAB Studio, the Atlas Hotel will include a restaurant and bar, wellness spa, ballroom, meeting rooms and an outdoor, rooftop living room with a water feature and a view of Kyle Field.

Construction on the hotel is expected to begin in early 2015 and be completed by the summer of 2016.

The 200-acre mixed-use Atlas community is an extension of Traditions that will expand out of Bryan’s west side and into College Station.

Included in the development are the Caliber Biotherapeutics plant, the GlaxoSmithKline influenza vaccine facility and Woodbolt International.

Early concept plans include tripling the number of existing single-family and multifamily homes, and adding restaurants and retail options aimed at pharmaceutical manufacturing and biotech professionals.

A high-end senior living community with 154 independent living, assisted living and memory care units is also in the works for the Atlas/Traditions community.
