FRISCO – Dallas-based Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRHC) has chosen Frisco to build its first branch facility — a 100,000-sf ambulatory care center.

Construction could begin as early as spring 2015 on the northeast corner of Lebanon Rd. and the Dallas North Tollway. The site is across from the Wade Park development, which broke ground last week.

The new care center will be an extension of the original Dallas campus and will initially be used for outpatient services and day surgeries for children with orthopedic issues.

TSRHC hopes to “impact the community in this new era of health care reform” and “better serve the families” that they take care of with the new facility.

About 25 percent of the hospital’s patients are from areas of North Dallas.

TSRHC is based in downtown Dallas at Oak Lawn Ave. and Maple Ave., right off the Dallas North Tollway and 23 miles from Frisco.
