Ringing off the hook: Abilene answers call for 300 jobs

ABILENE – Teleperformance will hire 300 agents for its call center operation located at 949 South Judge Ely Blvd. The company already employs nearly 400 customer service and support professionals in Abilene and more than 2,000 full-time employees across Texas.

The agents to be hired will support "the nation’s largest health insurance companies," according to Paris, France-based Teleperformance. The firm is encouraging military members, veterans and military spouses to apply to fill the new vacancies.

Wages will range from $9 to $12 per hour depending on experience, and the company is also looking for supervisors and managers.

Teleperformance employs over 149,000 people at 230 centers across 62 countries.
