WACO – The Cavender’s Western Wear chain will place one of its 22,000-sf superstores in Central Texas Marketplace.

Cavender’s has leased 12,000 sf in Westview Village for two decades, at Valley Mills and Waco Dr. — that location will close.

Land clearing for the new store already has begun near the Cabela’s Outpost at the marketplace, located at the intersection of Hwy. 6 and I-35.

Cavender’s will be open for Christmas shopping or shortly thereafter, according to the company.

Construction of a new Cavender’s superstore is only part of the activity proceeding at Central Texas Marketplace. Signs have gone up indicating that new JoAnn Fabric & Craft, Bed Bath & Beyond and Cost Plus/World Market stores will begin taking shape within the next few weeks, as land clearing proceeds.
