ALLIANCE, McKINNEY – UPS has announced the lease of two new package distribution facilities in Dallas-Fort Worth.

The new facilities, one located in the Alliance development in far north Fort Worth and the other in McKinney, are expected to bring 500 new jobs to the local economy.

The Alliance building, nicknamed “Independence,” will create more than 300 package handler jobs and more than 50 tractor trailer driver positions.

The 495,000-sf building at 13700 Independence Pkwy. will serve UPS customers in the North Tarrant and South Denton counties.

The second building in McKinney will bring 120 new full-time jobs to the area. UPS will occupy 215,000 sf of an 888,000-sf facility at 3000 Redbud Blvd. and will serve Collin County through the location.

The company plans to occupy the new facility in November 2014.

With the addition of these sites, UPS now has eight buildings serving Dallas-Fort Worth with more than 7,500 employees. Applicants can learn more about UPS jobs at upsjobs.com.
