Chisolm Trail Pkwy. opens Crowley business horizons
CROWLEY – The intersection of W. 1187 and W. Business FM 1187/McCart Avenue is about to become a lot busier as a Walmart Neighborhood Market is slated to be built on the northeast corner of the intersection, east of Nicky D’s Grill.
The Crowley City Council approved site plans for a Walmart Neighborhood Market on 6.6 acres on the northeast corner of the intersection.
The grocery store, which will include a pharmacy with drive-thru, will be 41,921 sf with parking for 168 vehicles.
Timing is right for the retailer, as LGI Homes broke ground in May on its 700-home Bridges of Creekside residential development adjacent to the planned grocery store.
The Walton Group has, in two separate transactions, purchased 2,023 acres along the recently-opened Chisolm Trail Parkway.
That the area is ripe for growth is an understatement. In addition to the Bridges of Creekside, Crowley will be home to two other residential developments hoping to capitalize on the city’s new fast track to downtown Fort Worth.
