Proctor & Gamble wrapping up Wilmer project, hiring 500
WILMER, DALLAS COUNTY – Work is finishing up on consumer products giant Procter & Gamble’s (P&G) huge new warehouse in Wilmer.
The more than 1.4 million-sf distribution center is located on the west side of I-45 at Mars Rd. will house about 500 workers.
Almost all of the workers will be employed by two companies that will operate the facility, according to P&G spokesman Jeff LeRoy. “Both are now hiring,” said LeRoy.
The industrial building, which is the biggest under construction in North Texas, is being developed by Panattoni Development Co. in partnership with the California State Teachers Retirement System.
The entire operation should be up and running by December, according to P&G.
