LONGVIEW - Good Shepherd Health System’s 77,000-sf NorthPark Medical Plaza has opened.
The $13 million plaza includes 22 emergency room beds, a spectrum of imaging tools, full trauma center and a new orthopedic clinic. Longview Orthopaedics has a separate but connected building south of the main facility. A new Breast Center also is open in the facility.
The new plaza combines several medical disciplines, including X-ray and digital mammography and laboratory services attached to its 24-hour emergency service.
“This ER has the capacity for 35,000 to 40,000 visits a year,” said Good Shepherd President and CEO Steve Altmiller.
The system plans eventually to add internal and primary care services to the array of diagnostic abilities in the new medical plaza.
