​BEAUMONT – Bayou Bend CCS LLC—a joint venture of Chevron Corp., Talos Energy Inc., and Carbonvert Inc.—has acquired 100,000 acres for Bayou Bend, a carbon storage project.

The storage site now totals 140,000 acres and holds a gross storage capacity of more than one billion metric tons of carbon.​
