EL PASO – El Paso Community College will use a $280,000 state grant to provide computer technology training to 96 military veterans.

The computer technology certification classes for El Paso military veterans have already commenced, but some spaces are still available.

Workforce Solutions Upper Rio Grande received the grant with the college from a $4.3 million fund set up by the Texas Workforce Commission to help military veterans get jobs.

Employers who hire military veterans may be able to get the Work Opportunity Tax Credit for amounts ranging from $1,200 to $9,600.
