McALLEN – The city has broken ground on the Dove Avenue Roadway and Drainage Improvement Project extending from Bentsen Rd. to 41st St.
The project will include a quarter-mile, four-lane road between the east and west city limits with five-ft sidewalks on either side. There will also be improvements to drainage systems to reduce flooding.
Designed by Cruz Hogan Consultants Inc., the project will cost upward of $3 million dollars. Funding will come from the McAllen Economic Development Cop.
Construction will take 12 months.
