WASHINGTON – Two Texas metros have landed on the Urban Land Institute's (ULI) list of the top ten real estate markets to watch in 2023.
Dallas-Fort Worth was second overall, up five spots from last year's seventh-place ranking. It also ranked sixth on ULI's list of the metros with the top homebuilding prospects.
Austin was the only other Texas metro in the top ten overall rankings. It was fourth in both overall real estate and homebuilding prospects.
San Antonio (12th overall, first in homebuilding) and Houston (14th overall, eighth in homebuilding) also had top scores.
The rest of ULI's overall rankings include:
No. 1 Nashville, Tenn.;
No. 3 Atlanta;
No. 5 Tampa-St. Petersburg, Fla.;
No. 6 Raleigh-Durham, N.C.;
No. 7 Miami;
No. 8 Boston;
No. 9 Phoenix; and
No. 10 Charlotte, N.C.
