RCG to open Galveston’s third cruise terminal

​​​​GALVESTON – Royal Caribbean Group (RCG)​ will open its $125 million, 161,334-sf​ terminal on Nov. 9.

Located on ten acres in Pier 10, the terminal ​will allow the port to accommodate​ larger ships. ​​

Ceres Terminals Inc. partnered with RCG for the project, which also included improvements to the pier bulkhead and apron. 

A staging and loading area, bus and taxi staging areas, and 1,900-space parking lot are being added. 

The Galveston Wharves board approved a long-term lease agreement with RCG beginning with a 20-year initial term. 

RCG’s terminal will be the first cruise terminal to generate all of its energy through on-site solar panels.
