​KATY – The Harris County Community Services Department has opened Kingsland Park, a 198-unit mixed-income senior housing complex at 23430 Kingsland Blvd.

The four-story, five-building co​​​mplex has one- and two-bedroom units ranging from 603 to 1,149 sf. Residents must be at least 55 years old.

The complex has 141 units reserved for tenants who make less than 80 percent of the area median income. 

Rents for subsidized units start at $380 per month. Market-rate units go up to $1,400. 

Amenities include a resort-style swimming pool, fitness center, theater, card room, and catering kitchen.

The $31.4 million project was built by Resolution Cos. and designed by Mucasey & Associates.

Kingsland is the first of 16 housing projects to be developed with federal Hurricane Harvey disaster recovery funds.
