TEMPLE – The Temple Economic Development Corporation has announced BJ’s Restaurants will add the company’s first brewpub concept in Texas with a 29,000-sf, $2.5 million brewpub in downtown Temple.

The brewpub will be located near the intersection of East Central Ave. and North 12th St. in downtown Temple.

While the primary function of this new concept will be to supply craft beer to many of the BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse locations in Texas, a tasting room will also provide guests an opportunity to sample the micro-brews.

BJ’s Brewhouse will bring approximately eight new jobs to downtown Temple in 2015.

BJ’s will complete a remodel and finish-out of the building. The company has already begun construction work on the building and expects to open in first quarter 2015.
