Walmart to hire up to 95 for new Amarillo market

AMARILLO – Walmart is hiring up to 95 employees for a new Neighborhood Market under construction on Southeast 34th Ave. near South Osage St. The estimated cost of construction is $3.7 million according to state filings.

Veterans who have been honorably discharged from active duty within the past 12 months and meet Walmart’s standard hiring criteria will be offered jobs. Most new hires will begin work in December 2014.

Walmart is planning additional Neighborhood Markets on South Coulter St. at Arden Rd. and on Southeast 58th Ave. at South Georgia St.
