ABILENE – Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems Inc. has sold two West Texas hospitals to locally based Hendrick Health System.
The assets are the 231-bed Abilene Regional Medical Center at 6250 US 83 and the 188-bed Brownwood Regional Medical Center at 1501 Burnett Rd. in Brownwood.
As part of the deal, Hendrick has secured the long-term lease and operation of the latter hospital from the Brown County Hospital Authority.
