TYLER - Atwoods Ranch & Home is planning to move its Tyler store into a building that formerly housed Super 1 Foods. The Oklahoma-based chain filed a building permit with the City of Tyler to remodel the 57,352-sf vacant facility at 3000 WNW Loop 323.

UCR Dallas, a retail real estate services provider, announced this week that Mid States Real Estate LLC bought 7.5 acres at the southwest quadrant of NNW Loop 323 and US Hwy. 69.

The land “will be redeveloped into a new Atwoods, projected to open in 2015,” according to Valerie Maniscalco, marketing communications manager for UCR Dallas.

The renovation project is estimated to cost $300,000.

The building housed a K-Mart before Super 1 Foods moved into the facility in 1995. Brookshire’s leased the building and moved the Super 1 Foods store from that building to its existing location, at 113 NNW Loop 323, in September 2012.

The building has remained vacant since then. Once renovations are completed, Atwoods will move from its current location at 303 NNW Loop 323.

Atwoods opened in Tyler in 2006. It sells farm and ranch supplies, as well as clothing, pet, hunting and automotive supplies.
