130K-sf innovation center to dock at Port San Antonio

​SAN ANTONIO – The Port San Antonio board of directors has approved a 130,000-sf innova​tion center.  

The $60 million project ​will include:

• 2,500-seat technology area;

• new, larger home for the San Antonio Museum of Science and Technology;

• classrooms and meeting spaces;

• research and development lab;

• full-scale food hall; and 

• 24-hour electronic gaming area.  

Construction begins this summer and wraps up in early 2022. 

Sundt Construction is the general contractor. RVK Architects is the designer.
