NEW YORK – Frisco has ranked second on SmartAsset’s list of the cities where the most people can work from home.

The study estimates that 36,131 of the city’s 93,878 workers can work from home. That’s 38.5 percent of the workforce.

In 2018, 29.2 percent of the city’s total workers were involved in management, business, and financial operations, an occupation in which many workers are able to work from home.

Frisco has the third-largest sales workforce of the 200 largest U.S. cities.

Other Texas cities where the most people can work from home are No. 16 Plano, No. 20 McKinney, and No. 23 Austin. Arlington, Va., was the city with the highest percentage of potential remote workers.

Brownsville and Pasadena were among the cities where the fewest people can work from home, ranking 18th and 21st, respectively.

SmartAsset used data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ 2017-18 Job Flexibilities and Work Schedules survey and the Census Bureau’s 2018 one-year American Community Survey.
