​​AUSTIN – The city has lifted a temporary construction ban after Gov. Greg Abbott issued a new directive deeming all construction to be essential services. 

New construction guidelines include additional measures to limit the spread of COVID-19, such as more hand-washing stations, no communal water coolers, and job site prescreening.
