It was sold by locally based Exxir Capital, which had owned the building since 2010.
Built in 1927 by English architect Sir Alfred Bossom, the historic building had been home to a number of famous residents, including Judy Garland, Dean Martin, Elvis Presley, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Liza Minnelli, and Todd Oldham.
It was last assessed for $14 million.
