SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Independent School District (SAISD) is updating its Internet infrastructure with 80 miles of fiber-optic cable.
The cable will connect campuses and offices to one central high-speed network when completed in June 2020.
The upgrade is receiving $15 million in federal and state funding. SAISD is picking up 5 percent of the bill.
