​AUSTIN – The city is developing eight affordable homes on 1.3 acres at the corner of Doris and Hathaway Drives.   

Four duplex ​rental​ units will be reserved for people making 50 percent or less of the area median income. The remaining single-family homes will be sold to people making 80 percent or less.

Units​​​ will be ready for move-in by fall 2020. 

The city purchased the land from the Austin Independent School District in 2017.
